Nooraya is built to keep your worship and your journal yours. This page says plainly what the app stores and where it goes.
Without an account
If you use Nooraya as a guest, your prayer log, journal, tasbih counts and settings stay on your phone only.
With an account
- We store your name, email and a securely hashed password (we cannot read your password).
- Your prayer log, journal entries, mood check-ins, tasbih counts, plan and settings are saved on our server so they follow you to a new phone. We do not show them to anyone else.
- We never sell or share your data, and there are no ads or trackers.
Location
If you tap “Detect”, your phone shares its location with the app to calculate prayer times and Qibla on your device. To show your city name, your coordinates are sent to a free reverse-geocoding service (BigDataCloud). You can instead pick a city by hand and share no location at all.
AI hadith suggestions (optional)
If you turn this on and write a note in the night check-in, that note is sent to Anthropic's Claude API only to choose which hadith from our checked list fits. It is not used to write any hadith or Quran text, and nothing else from your journal is sent. Turn it off any time in “My goals & AI”.
Website statistics
To count how many people visit and install the app, we record anonymous counts (visits, install taps, a random device ID). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking.
Your choices
You can sign out at any time from Profile. To have your account and all stored data deleted, email hello@dclan.agency from the address you signed up with.
